The project “Find the Anime” aims to improve anime discovery using generative AI technologies. It addresses challenges such as memory-based and interest-based discovery by utilizing semantic search techniques, image understanding, vector embeddings, and grounded explanations. The solution involves data acquisition, data structuring with Gemini, character image analysis with Gemini Vision, embedding generation, semantic search with Chroma, relevance evaluation with Gemini and Google Grounding, and a user interface built with Gradio. Limitations include data dependence and model subjectivity, with future improvements proposed such as enhanced data incorporation, image embeddings, voice input functionality, chatbot interface, and multi-model evaluation for more accurate results. The project showcases the potential of generative AI for personalized and efficient anime search and discovery.
